NFPA should consider making code changes to help prevent stove top cooking fires. They (NFPA) say that the number one cause of house fires are cooking fires. Then it is time to make some code changes to prevent the fires from happening instead of depending on extinguishing the fires, stop them from starting. It seems that temperature control is the answer.
